One of my favorite things to do with my family during the Christmas season is to watch heartwarming Christmas movies with them. We’ve watched a number over the years. I would like to share this list with you to encourage you to make time to bond with your family members this Christmas. These movies are not ranked. I have watched some of them with my family, while the rest I have yet to watch with them in the coming days. I have linked the movie titles to their YouTube videos so you just need to click the title if you want to watch the movies.
Whether you’re watching it on a lazy morning after breakfast, after a filling lunch or a bit late in the night over hot chocolate, these movies will surely put a smile on your faces, a laugh on your belly or tears in your eyes. Are you excited? I am!

A Charlie Brown Christmas
This is a short video only. But it’s a nice cartoon wherein the main character was in search of the true meaning of Christmas and he got to discover it with the help of his friends. I just didn’t like that the characters kept saying the word “stupid” and kids were the intended audience for this. I suggest that parents explain this part to the kids so they don’t imitate.

A Grandpa for Christmas
Christmas is a good time to reconnect with our extended families. This movie will surely touch the hearts of everyone, especially if you watch this with the grandparents and grandkids.
-
A Town Without Christmas
Do you believe in angels? This one has an angel as one of its main characters. So, if this is something that you like, I think you’ll enjoy this movie. We have yet to watch this one.
-
Christmas Lodge
We were able to watch the full movie on YouTube in the past but I could not find it anymore. So, the movie title is linked to the trailer only. But it really is is one of the best if not the best family movie I’ve seen. It’s worth searching a copy of this one.

Christmas on Division Street
We have yet to watch this movie but I liked the synopsis so I included it here. It helps raise awareness of people that while we spend Christmas comfortably in our homes, let us not forget the homeless, the less fortunate. I’m excited to watch this with my family.

Finding John Christmas

The Magic School Bus Family Holiday Edition
My kids love The Magic School Bus series. It’s one of our fun ways to learn about Science. I was, thus, delighted to find a holiday edition on YouTube! I watched this with the kids yesterday. It’s a good combination of Science lessons (recycling to be specific) and lessons on friendship and the meaning of Christmas.

The Nativity Story
Now, this one is really based on the Biblical story. It’s like watching your Bible come to life. Lovely!

The Santa Clause
This one is a comedy but it also pulls on your heart strings. We watched this with the kids already in the past and our boys enjoyed it.
