It’s a brand new month again!
I’m conducting a series of talks on book writing and publishing starting this Saturday, June 12.
I have already started working on my slides yesterday and I felt excited to share what I had been through on my way to where I am now.
It’s always a joy to publish a book! It’s like birthing something into the world.
But, just like carrying a child and giving birth to it, it is not an easy process.
In this talk series, I will share with you what I have learned in this adventure of book writing and publishing.
The title of the first talk in the series is My Author Story: How I Became an Author.
I will share how my childhood and even my teenage years and my days as a single woman contributed to my author story.
We have made this talk affordable, even for students. The minimum donation for each participant is only P100. I made it this way so I can inspire and teach more people.
I want young people to know that they can dream big dreams and they can achieve these dreams as long as they are willing to do the work required.
All the talks in the series will be done on Saturday afternoons from 3:30 to 5 or 5:30 PM, including the question and answer portion.
The tentative dates for the talks are in the registration form. The talk series will be spread between June to September.
Those who cannot attend the actual talks will be given access to the recording for a limited period.
Below are the talk titles and the schedule.
Talk #1: My Author Story: How I Became an Author (June 12)
Talk #2: Journal Your Way to Becoming a Published Writer/Author (July 17)
Talk #3: How to Publish Your Book (August 14)
Talk #4: How to Make Your Book an Amazon Bestseller (August 28)
Talk #5: How to Write an Inspiring & Award-Winning Book in 30 Days or Less (September 18)
For Talk #1, the minimum DONATION per attendee is P100.
The regular rate for each talk is P750 per participant. The discounted rate is P2,000 per participant for Talks 2-5.
I highly encourage everyone who wants to attend any of the talks to attend ALL the talks because you will save a lot when you pay for the discounted rate instead of paying per talk.
For Talk #2, the first 10 people from NCR & Calabarzon who will confirm their slot by paying for their registration fee will get a free Papemelroti notebook/journal. For participants from VisMin, they will have to pay the shipping fee if they want to get a free notebook/journal. We will also raffle 5 journal kits to the participants.
Parents who want to join any of these talks may register themselves and their kids through this form and pay through the following options: BPI, BDO, or GCash.

Let me end with this famous saying:
“Plant a tree, have a child and write a book. These all live on after us, ensuring a measure of immortality.”
This was attributed to the Talmud and Jose Martí, Cuban revolutionary and poet.
All these acts will enable us to leave a legacy, leave something that will continue to make our presence felt and our stories to be remembered.
Even if you will not sell your book to the public, writing a book about your life or a time in your life will enable you to share that part of your life with the future generations in your family.
To live a legacy and to teach my children and my children’s children the lessons I have learned in my life here on earth is one of the reasons that I write books.
Do you also want to write a book? Is your child an aspiring author?
If you are an aspiring author, how long have you been dreaming of this? What are you doing this year to move closer to your dream? Could this series of talks be the answer to your prayers?
