We stayed at Canyon Cove Hotel and Spa for 3 days and 2 nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday and some of my successes last September 2018. Last September, three big dreams of mine came true. First, one of my books (From Career Woman to SAHM, WAHM then Businessmom) won in the Cardinal Sin Book Awards. Second, I got to launch a book at the Manila International Book Fair for the first time. Third, that book that I launched was my first children’s book (Maliit
We chose Canyon Cove because it had swimming pools and there is also a beach. My kids and husband love to swim. I love nice views and being with them. =)
We booked a room that had a big bed and a daybed. Our youngest still breastfeeds from me and co-sleeps with me and my husband. The older boys can sleep in the daybed.
We had lunch first at Max’s Tagaytay before proceeding to the hotel.
The first room that was assigned to us had defective shutters near the daybed. It was a good thing that we noticed it right away and we got to inform the hotel staff immediately. We were thankful that we were transferred quickly to another room where all the shutters were working fine.
We loved the room and the view outside! The room is spacious yet we felt cozy. We love the beds!
We wasted no time taking photos.
We loved that the daybed was big enough for all three boys. The boys snuggled with each other in the daybed as soon as we arrived. They took a nap first before we explored outside.
While the boys were sleeping, my husband and I enjoyed the view from our room’s balcony.
After exploring the hotel grounds and the beach, we had dinner inside our room. We wanted to watch a family movie while waiting for our dinner.
The following day, we had a buffet breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel. Our boys do not have big appetites during breakfast. But we made sure that they got to eat enough so they have energy when we go to the beach afterwards.
Right after breakfast, the boys hit the beach. It was so hard to convince them to get out of the water and to stop playing in the sand!
They clearly had a blast! But it was time for lunch and I was starting to feel hungry.
We had lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday at a nearby Italian restaurant.
We tried to look for a church with a Mass. Unfortunately, there were no evening Masses in the nearby church. So, we just said a prayer in the church.
We went back to the hotel to rest. The boys and my husband took a nap again. I just did some reading.
Then, we had dinner al fresco style and tried the grilled food cooked and sold outside the restaurant.
We went out to look for a coffee shop or restaurant to have cake, cupcakes and hot chocolate because the restaurant didn’t have any. But the stores or restaurants outside close early. So, we just ended buying some donuts and Swiss Miss sachets and went back to our room. Then, we ordered cheesecake via room service.
While waiting, we played Uno, chess and checkers.
The following day, after eating buffet breakfast again at the restaurant, we headed to the swimming pools right away. We all ate a heavy breakfast because we know that we might be eating late lunch after check out.
We swam until almost lunchtime. We all had a grand time!
We love that Canyon Cove had several swimming pools that we can choose from. The youngest and I stayed at the kiddie pool most of the time. The two older boys swam with their Dad in the bigger pool longer. They reviewed their swimming lessons with him.
We really had a memorable and pleasant stay at this hotel. We would love to go back here again in the future.
