The year 2019 is about to come to an end. I can’t help but be grateful to God for my countless blessings this year. Among them is finding companies that chose to partner with me in their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) projects this year by donating copies of my latest children’s book Maliit na Ang Palda ni Isay.
When God planted this dream of donating copies of my children’s book in my heart around two years ago, I had no idea if it would really materialize. I simply followed my heart’s desire and shared my advocacy and my dream with friends. Then, fast forward to today, slightly a year since we launched my advocacy #IsayGoestoSchools, we have already donated to a thousand students around the Philippines! Amazing!
Truly, we only need to believe that God, who is our Dream-Giver, is also our Dream-Fulfiller! He will not plant a seed in our hearts and leave it on its own to die and not come to fruition. We may sometimes feel like our dream is dying. But the truth is that God lets the imperfect version to die so that the best version of our dream would be fulfilled.
Early this year, First Metro Investment Corporation ordered hundreds of copies of my children’s book to include it in their quarterly CSR activity wherein they distribute eyeglasses to students in public elementary schools. They donated 207 copies of my children’s book at Legarda Elementary School and 50 copies at Dr. Benigno Aldana Elementary School.
Then, during the third quarter of the year, Cleeneco bought hundreds of copies also so they can donate Maliit na ang Palda ni Isay. They donated 200 copies to Antonio M. Serapio Elementary School. They also donated 300 copies to the Jiggy Manicad Learning Foundation a month after donating to the public school.
I feel so blessed to have been connected to these people and companies. I’m especially thankful for the support of Cleeneco Chief Cleaning Officer, as he likes to call himself, Mr. Mike Gamez. He and his wife chose to donate copies of my children’s book to his wife’s elementary school in Valenzuela during their company’s anniversary celebration. What a meaningful celebration! They have inspired not just elementary students but their employees as well! I pray that God would bless their business even more so they can be a channel of blessing to more people.
I look forward to partnering with more private companies and other organizations and communities in inspiring and empowering more children through my book Maliit na Ang Palda ni Isay in 2020. I believe that God will continue to bless my efforts in looking for companies to partner with for their CSR projects.
