The sites I’m including here can be visited for FREE and are perfect for your field trips as a family this month of August.
We had been to all these places. That’s why I can guarantee that your trip to these sites will be worth it.
The first site that I would highly recommend that you visit this month of August is the Quezon Memorial Circle. Inside it are already 3 museums that you can visit. Two out of these three museums are open to the public for free. We had been to these two museums. We wanted to go to the third one but it was under renovation during our visit.
Simply click the names of these museums below to read the details of our field trip and to see our photos. These would give you an idea of what to expect there.
Two other monuments that you can visit this month to celebrate Ninoy Aquino Day are these two monuments in Metro Manila.
Last but not least, I highly recommend that you visit Rizal Park. It’s a huge park! So, it would be hard to finish going around all of its areas in one day only. We have visited it at least 3 times already but we have yet to finish exploring it with our kids. Moreover, it’s not just Dr. Jose Rizal’s monument that you will see there. There are many other monuments of heroes in the park. Click here and here to read about our field trips at Rizal Park in the past years.
These sites are just in Metro Manila. If you are a non-NCR resident and/or you want to visit other areas, I also recommend that you visit monuments and historical places in Cavite. There are so many in this province! And most of these monuments and historical places can be visited for FREE. If you want to read and see more of my blog posts about our family’s field trips through the years, just type field trip in the search field.
I hope you find this list helpful.
If your family likes or loves to travel or learn through field trips, we invite you to check out our YouTube channel (H.O.P.E. Network). You can find videos there of our previous field trips.
Through these field trips that our family has been on in the past years, we’ve woven memories and experiences that will forever be etched in our hearts. From tracing the footsteps of heroes to immersing ourselves in the cultural tapestry of our language and history, this month has been a testament to the power of exploration and connection. Let us carry the stories of our heroes in our hearts, the lessons we’ve learned in our minds, and the emotions we’ve felt into the days to come. May these field trips continue to inspire us to embrace our heritage, honor our past, and forge a brighter future for our nation. Until the next journey beckons, let’s keep the spirit of discovery alive in our hearts.
